Martin has over 23 years of growth and private equity investing, C-suite, investment committee, corporate finance and legal experience. Based in Asia for 16 years.
Martin is the Managing Partner of HEAL Partners. In addition, he holds the following positions:
Board member of Us2.ai, a FDA approved cardiology AI platform that promises to revolutionise the diagnosis of heart disease
Board member of Edge Early Learning, a leading Australian childcare group, headquartered in Queensland
Advisor to the Board of ASX-listed HSC Technology Group, an aged-care focused health technology business
Previously, he originated and led the US$ 123m acquisition of Hoan My Medical Corporation. As Chairman for over five years, he led the transformation of the group into Vietnam’s leading hospital network:

Awarded President of Vietnam’s Third Class Labour Medal for its contribution to society by raising healthcare standards
Martin also originated and led the Series A round investment into Halodoc, Indonesia’s leading healthtech mobile platform and was a Board member. Martin was also a Board member of The Medical City, Philippines.
Martin also worked for the Religare/Fortis Healthcare Group in Singapore where he was responsible for several landmark healthcare principal investments across Asia-Pacific including Fortis’ acquisition of Hoan My, its US$ 195m acquisition of Quality Healthcare Hong Kong, Radlink Singapore, takeover of Dental Corp Australia, Fortis India’s US$ 665m acquisition of Fortis Global and the IPO of the Religare Healthcare trust.
Martin spent five years with Macquarie Bank (Australia & Hong Kong), where he was responsible for the Group’s Asian principal investments and portfolio companies across a wide range of sectors including healthcare, education, consumer, technology, financial and general industries.
Martin commenced his career as a M&A/ECM lawyer with Allens (Australia) and Linklaters (U.K. & Hong Kong) and has a Bachelor of Law (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the University of Queensland.
