Peter is a Partner and member of the Investment Committee at HEAL Partners.

Peter co-founded and continues to lead Asia Principal Capital (APC), an early growth and development capital, business accelerator.

APC is a principal investor and fund manager of strategic capital who also provide deep sectorial experience and strategic counsel for growth-stage acceleration. APC works actively alongside founders in emerging technology, healthcare, education and disruption assets, who value the APC team’s collective experience, relationships and insights. 

 

Peter started his career in Real Estate across commercial, industrial, and other related businesses including property development, finance, insurance broking, construction, construction maintenance and advertising. After his time in real estate, Peter established, developed and sold a variety of businesses across strategy consulting, agriculture, commodity trading, venture and private equity including co-founding Fast Access Networks (one of Australia’s first ISP businesses). 

 

Prior to establishing APC, Peter founded Committed Capital, one of the first ‘active manager’ venture capital and private equity firms. Committed Capital operated in Australia, UK, and Asia with a focus on supporting founders, not just financially but sharing networks and expertise. Committed Capital made the initial financial investment and was advisor to Optal (PSP) & eNett. 

 

In recent years, Peter was advisor to Dental Corporation Australia, co-founded Dental Corporation Canada with Normanby Capital’s Mark Evans, Chris Chambers and Dr Andrew Meikle.  He also co-founded Edge Early Learning and Removery with Normanby Capital and, most recently, partnered with Dr Andrew Meikle to create The Fertility Partners. Peter was also an Initial General Partner of Morpheus Ventures I.

During Peters career, he has led a variety of negotiations, mergers and acquisitions across numerous industries in Australia, America, Europe and developing countries. Peter has conducted a number of workout and turnaround transactions. In addition to this, he has developed close relationships with high-net-worth and family offices globally; he has shared and connected these individuals and groups with each other, further supporting investment into new and accelerating businesses whilst providing strategic counsel regarding the overall growth of these offices’ wealth.
